Once upon a time, a little pink monster showed up for her first day at monster school. She walked over to the welcome table and picked out her name tag that spelled out in sparkly letters "PINK." Pink was very scared, never having been to monster school and not knowing how to be a scary monster like everyone else. She sat down on a small pink cushion in the corner and watched as all the other little monsters talked to each other. Pink didn't join them.
When the teacher started the class, Pink didn't know what to do. She just sat there and stared back at the teacher. When the class had play time, she sat at the sticker station alone. Pink didn't know how to make friends or talk to people. She didn't have friends for a very long time. One day, the teacher told the class that the school was starting a club where the little monsters would put a show on for all their monster parents. Pink wanted to join, but wasn't sure how. Her mother encouraged her to join to help make the set of the show because Pink loved art so much. Reluctantly, she joined. It took a few days for Pink to get out of her comfort zone and start talking to people, but when she did she found that lots of the other monsters were shy and even loved art, just like her! Pink began to make her first friends and found that she loved being creative and making the set. Pink's friends also loved making the set, and they all lived happily ever after.
